Emma’s Story
Hey there!
My name is Emma Compton, I am a 23 year old pastry school graduate from Le Cordon Bleu Ottawa. I am very passionate about what I do. I was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan and have been creating desserts my entire life. My dream has always been to create a cake and pastry shop, and I am so excited to be able to do what I love every day!
I have been practicing pastry arts since I was 5 years old, and was able to get an amazing look into the pastry arts field when I attended Miller High School and took classes from an amazing Red Seal Chef Martin Turcotte. He created an advanced pastry class I was able to take in my senior year, as well as many other cooking classes throughout the years. I was given the chance to compete in two cooking competitions, had the privilege of working/learning alongside my Chef for different events with the school, and learned so much about the field. These experiences helped me to see how I could go down this path.
In 2022 I moved to Ottawa and attended Le Cordon Bleu Ottawa where I completed a diploma in French Patisserie. I was taught by some truly amazing French Chefs who worked in restaurants and hotels all around the world. They pushed me to become the best Pastry Chef I could be, and set me up for the realities of this field. I now aim to bring my French Pastry skills to the beautiful province of Saskatchewan and my home city, Regina.
You can find me everyday at the beautiful Local Market in Regina, and various markets in and around the city, such as the Regina Farmers Market, and Fedora Bloom Emporium.
